This Wednesday, August 19th at 7:00pm in the Red River College Theatre, the IGDA presents a Welcome to the New Challengers!

As many of you know, Winnipeg is host to Fortune Cat Game Studios, Canada's premiere game development incubator.  Companies who have previously completed terms in Fortune Cat include well-known Winnipeg game industry members Tomkorp Computer Solutions, Project Whitecard, and Complex Games Inc.

This month, the IGDA is happy to welcome two of Fortune Cat's current incubatees to the podium floor to demonstrate their games under development:

1.  Kim Lazaruk of Nightshift Interactive Inc. for FlipIt -

 Kim returned from graduating the Game Development program at Vancouver Film School to start his own company, Nightshift Interactive,  here in his hometown of Winnipeg, and is producing a market-ready version of his puzzle game FlipIt at Fortune Cat right now.

2. Mike Berg of We Heart Games for Face Race (http://weheartgames.com/) -

Many of you are already familiar with IGDA regular Mike Berg.  Mike's company We Heart Games was accepted for the previous round of Fortune Cat entrants, and is now completing his iPhone game, Face Race, which he will be able to demo for us on Wednesday night.

Ryan FitzGerald of Rogue Nation Studios will be making introductions for the evening on behalf of Fortune Cat and the two companies, and there will be plenty of time after the presentations for Q&A.
